Hytale Server Status Checker
Trying to connect to a custom server but getting an error? Or maybe you are a server administrator configuring your port forwarding? Our live Hytale Server Checker allows you to instantly diagnose any community server.
Simply enter the server’s Hostname or IP address and the port below. Our tool will send a secure ping to verify if the server is online, measure the network latency (ping), and retrieve the live player count using the official query protocols.

Frequently Asked Questions
Our server status checker is a web-based network diagnostic tool. It allows players and server owners to query a specific Hytale server IP. Depending on the protocol you choose, it will tell you if the server is actively running, how many players are currently online, the maximum slot capacity, and your latency to the host machine.
The method you select depends on what you want to test:
– TCP (Basic Connection): This simply checks if the server’s port is open and accepting traffic. It does not pull game data.
– UDP (Hytale Query): This is the recommended method. It communicates directly with the server to retrieve detailed information (like player counts). Note that for this to work, the target server must be running a supported query plugin (such as HyQuery or One Query Plugin).
If your server is running but our tool says it’s unreachable, check the following common issues:
Wrong Port: Ensure you typed the exact port number configured in your server properties (default is usually 5520).
Firewall Rules: Your host machine or router might be blocking incoming UDP/TCP requests on that specific port.
Missing Plugin: If you selected the UDP protocol, the server must have a query plugin installed and enabled. If it doesn’t, try checking with the basic TCP protocol instead.
Latency, commonly referred to as “ping,” is the amount of time (measured in milliseconds) it takes for a packet of data to travel from our tool to the server and back. A lower number means a faster, more responsive connection. For the best Hytale multiplayer experience, a latency under 100ms is ideal. Anything above 200ms may result in noticeable delay or rubberbanding.
The Hytale Server Ping Tool is completely free to use. To ensure the tool remains fast and to protect against bot abuse, we have implemented a brief 5-second cooldown between queries and a secure Cloudflare check. As long as you are a human, you can check as many IPs as you need!
