The latest pre-release patch (Update 4, Part 2) just dropped, and while there are plenty of technical fixes under the hood, the real star of the show is how we’re going to be interacting with each other. Hypixel Studios is finally letting us express ourselves properly.
The Main Event: The Emote Wheel
If you’ve been waiting for a way to taunt your friends or celebrate a victory, this is it. By holding down the ‘X’ key (which you can rebind in the settings), you now have access to a dedicated emote wheel.

The devs have added a solid starting lineup:
- Chicken (the ultimate classic).
- Kill (to let them know it’s over).
- Laugh (for those “oops” moments).
- Punch and Tongue (perfect for a bit of friendly—or not-so-friendly—banter).
The best part? Several emotes can now loop, so you can keep the vibe going without constantly re-triggering the animation. Plus, your Avatar will now actually face the camera in free-cam or third-person modes, making those social moments feel way more natural.
Creative Power & Survival Tweaks
While we’re all busy laughing and sticking our tongues out, there are a few other big changes you should know about:
- The “Revolve” Tool: Builders, rejoice! You can now take a selection and rotate-paste it as many times as you want around a center point. Making circular towers or complex domes just went from “nightmare” to “click of a button.”
- Smarter Wolves: Don’t let the black and white wolves catch you off guard. They now fight as a pack, meaning they’ll try to flank you and will actually retreat when they get too low on health.
- Better Gardening: Watering cans got a massive buff. Their capacity is up to 50, and you can now charge them up to water a full 3×3 area at once.
- Quality of Life: Most basic crafting (beds, chests, workbenches) is now instant. No more standing around waiting for a bar to fill up for the essentials!
This update really bridges the gap between a technical sandbox and a living, breathing world where we can actually “talk” to each other.
