It is the news that the entire community was waiting for (and perhaps no longer hoping for): Hytale finally has a release date.
After years of chaotic development, a cancellation by Riot Games last June, and then an unexpected acquisition by its original creator Simon Collins-Laflamme (Simon Hypixel), the release date for early access is finally known.
Hytale Early Access will be released on: January 13, 2026
In a series of tweets published today, the official account confirmed that Hytale’s early access will open its doors on January 13, 2026.
Pre-orders for the game will begin on December 13, 2025.
An “aggressive” price for a game under reconstruction
The other major piece of information concerns the price. Simon Hypixel has kept his promise to make the game accessible: Hytale will be offered at a single price of $19.99 (likely converted to €19.99).
Why such a low price for such a highly anticipated game? In their communication, the team does not hide the fact that this version is a “Frankenstein” — a mix of the old vision and the new technical direction.
What to expect at launch?
While the full Adventure mode and official mini-games will not be available on day one, players will still be able to enjoy the three major pillars of the game:
- Creative Mode: To unleash your imagination with ultra-powerful tools (revealed earlier this week).
- Exploration Mode: To discover the biomes of Orbis, although the experience is still raw.
- Modding Tools: The key feature that will allow the community to start shaping the game from day one.
See you on December 13 for pre-orders, and January 13 to finally set foot on Orbis!
